Job Title: Finance Officer

Hours: 35-45 hours per month on average.

Salary: Hourly rate to be negotiated.

Reporting to: The Treasurer

About Chesham & District Community Association

Chesham and District Community Association is a registered charity which owns and manages the White Hill Centre, a resource for the community of Chesham and District with meeting rooms for educational and social purposes.

The Association is governed by Trustees, acting through a Management Committee, supported by other sub-committees.   It has paid employees running the Centre Office administration.

White Hill Enterprises Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Association and operates the Centre Bar.  All profits from the bar are covenanted to the Association.

Tasks

Person Specification

Knowledge:        A good working knowledge of Accounting Systems is essential.  The Centre is considering switching from the existing ‘Sage’ accounting system therefore a knowledge of alternative systems would be an advantage. An understanding of charity governance.

Skills:                     Able to communicate effectively. Able to work under pressure and as part of a team. Attention to detail.

Experience:        Previous experience in a similar accounts role. Cash handling experience.
